A; Oooooooh, this is a great question! First things first, I highly recommend registering to vote and voting!! This is super important to do! Don't hesitate or procrastinate! Fall asleep quickly by doing your part as an American Citizen :) Now onto the stress part. This has been a hot button issue ever since the 2020 pandemic shutdown. Our phones, social media and media in general can be a tsunami of stress. So let's do this step by step.
Step 1, Put your phone away and avoid news media at least 30 minutes before bed. Good news does n to come in late and bright screens stop your body from producing melatonin. Melatonin is the hormone that is responsible for you falling asleep!!
Step 2, Lay off the doom scrolling on your phone in general! If you don't know what doomscrolling is, google it! If your Facebook or Instagram feed is littered with negativity, you need to click unfollow! Those posts are energy vampires! They feed their negativity by absorbing your positivity! Step 3, While the last election season was rife with conflict between political parties online, in person, I saw a different narrative. If the news and social media has got you down, seek out a way to connect with people in your community! The drama of politics online can make it seem like there is no way we can like side by side.
